IP Shifter

Changing the TCP/IP can be quite tedious, but it is necessary if you want to be connected to the Internet. If you want to set up your TCP/IP faster and correctly, you can use IP Shifter to save your settings and apply them immediately. When it comes to standard PCs, you don't need to change these settings very often, but laptop users will definitely appreciate this application.

You will not encounter any complex options while installing IP Shifter. Due to its modest system requirements, you can use the application on any computer powered by Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7.

Saving your TCP/IP settings requires creating a profile, which takes only a few moments. Clicking an option, on the software's toolbar, will display a new window, where you can type your IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred and alternate DNS server and select an adapter interface name. When you are done, you may click the OK button and your new profile will be listed on the main interface.

The software lets you create any number of profiles. If you are using a laptop to work at home, at school, work or other places, you can save the TCP/IP settings for each of these locations. When connecting to a network, you just need to select its settings, click the Apply button located on the toolbar and the required settings will be made automatically.

IP Shifter comes with other features as well, including a LAN scanner, the possibility of pinging an IP address, detecting your public IP and more. The software provides a rich set of information and you can acquire it without too much effort.
